Fix Playdate Setup Errors and
Other Feature Configuration Problems
in Sensible Cinema Box Office Lite
and Box Office Pro

If you have set up a feature with an incorrect set of playdates, and further, you have sold tickets before you realized the feature was set up incorrectly, there is a way to manually edit the feature configuration data file.

WARNING:
The raw data file is sequential and has delimiters (") that the program uses to tell where one field ends and another begins. Be very careful never to remove these, or to add or delete extra lines from the file or the program will misread the data causing you even more problems. It is a good idea to make a backup of the file you are going to edit before making any edits.

EDITORS:
You must use an editor that will not add any formatting characters to the data file. It is recommended that you use the MS-DOS editor (EDIT.COM) or Windows Notepad (NOTEPAD.EXE).

FINDING THE APPROPRIATE FILE TO EDIT:
Using the MS-DOS editor, Windows Notepad or Windows File Explorer, locate the data file needed to edit. The file will located in your C:\BOXPRO\DATA folder and will be named as follows:

FEATURE1.FLM (The feature in slot #1)
FEATURE2.FLM (The feature in slot #2)
FEATURE3.FLM (The feature in slot #3)
FEATURE4.FLM (The feature in slot #4)
FEATURE5.FLM (The feature in slot #5)
FEATURE6.FLM (The feature in slot #6)
FEATURE7.FLM (The feature in slot #7)
FEATURE8.FLM (The feature in slot #8)
FEATURE9.FLM (The feature in slot #9)
FEATUR10.FLM (The feature in slot #10)
FEATUR11.FLM (The feature in slot #11)
FEATUR12.FLM (The feature in slot #12)

OPEN THE FILE IN THE TEXT EDITOR:
Open the file and carefully edit the data. An example is shown below with annotations in red showing what data each line of the file stores. Print this out to ensure your edits conform to the appropriate file format. To edit the playdates, search for the date section of the file and make appropriate changes. Be sure to triple check your work to ensure no (") delimiters have been removed and that no additional lines, spaces etc. have been added or removed from the file.
